Just let your Sim paint something, press C to pause the game, then press Alt+Tab to exit the game. Open this snapshot which is kept in
C:\My Documents\EA\Sims2\Storytelling\Snapshot.bmp. Open also your picture in any program such as MS Paint and resize it to the size of the snapshot of the game. Replace the snapshot by your picture and go back to the game pressing Alt+Tab. Now Sim is painting your own picture!
How to listen you favorite mp3 files on Sim Radio
Choose any mp3 you want to listen while playing the game and put it into the folder MyDocuments/EAGames/TheSims2/Music/name_of_the_radiostation. Then, when you start the game, go to the options menu -> music settings -> radio station and choose a song. Now enjoy!
How to watch your video files on the Sim TV
You can easily watch your video files with the help of the Sim’s TV if they are *.avi files and not more than 128x128 px and 15 fps. Just put any video file into My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Movies\Broadcast(choose the TV sender). In this case, when you switch on the TV in the game you will be able to watch the video file you have chosen.
How to listen to music attached to the game
To listen to the music of the game you should go to The Sims 2/TSData/Res/Sound directory. Here you can choose any file (they are in the *.package files). Make a copy of it and paste it to another folder. Note that you should rename it from *.package to *.mp3 file.
